Warranties

Limited Warranty

We cover all products with our warranty, which applies for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase. The warranty is valid only when the product is installed and maintained in accordance with the manual provided.  No warranty is made for any of our products that are not properly installed or maintained.  Product width, depth and height are listed by their respective manufacturer and are as accurate as possible. Any failure or defect in a product that occurs due to shipping or to alteration, theft, negligence, misuse, accident, damage by others, poor maintenance, or where proper care has not been taken to prevent snow, ice, water or chemical damage to the merchandise shall not be warrantied. The warranty does not cover products with exposure to toxic, nuclear, or corrosive environments, or where ambient temperatures fall below -40° F or in excess of +212° F. Because of the abrasiveness of many cleaning agents, any liquid substance used to clean the fixture are excluded from the terms of this warranty. This warranty does not cover installation, removal, labor, or shipping costs, nor does it cover any merchandise not expressly designated an OEM fabrication when it is used as a component of and/or a competed good for a manufactured primary product without prior written approval.

Disclaimer Of Implied Warranties

Except as set forth in the limited warranty or otherwise required by law, Carpenter Lighting provides all products as is and disclaims all other express or implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties are expressly disclaimed.

Limitation Of Damages

During the warranty period, should any product prove defective in materials or workmanship, or fail to meet our published performance specifications for that product, Carpenter Lighting’s liability for any breach of warranty shall be limited to repair or, at Carpenter Lighting’s option, replacement with a non-defective product of substantially similar specifications.

Under this warranty Carpenter Lighting is liable for only that warranty coverage and damages specifically detailed above. Except as otherwise required by law, Carpenter Lighting shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, even if Carpenter Lighting has been advised of the possibility of such damage. This disclaimer applies during and after the warranty period.

If a defect or malfunction is discovered during the period to which this warranty applies, repair or replacement is subject to the proper notification and consent of Carpenter Lighting as indicated by the issuance of a Returned Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#).
